Salem

Salem is a Colorado-based band led by drummer, vocalist and songwriter Todd Anders Johnson. They play socially conscious music that blends alternative rock, world, hip-hop, jazz, funk and neo-soul.

Todd founded the band in Seattle in 2004 and later made Boulder home. Salem tours North America with the Risan Project, which pairs live concerts with action sports films and environmental content. The members are snowboarders and skiers, and the band has played the Winter X Games, the US Freeskiing Open, the US Snowboarding Grand Prix, Breckenridge Spring Massive and Keystone River Run Rocks.

They have toured with Karl Denson, Keller Williams, Brett Dennen and De La Soul, and their music appears in Warren Miller’s “Off the Grid” and other action sports films.
